I qualified as a
Careers Adviser in 2000. I have lots of experience working with young
people in both education and community settings. I work part of the week
at a local secondary school providing careers information, advice and guidance
to students in year 8 to year 13. At Harrow Youth Stop, I support
unemployed young people into education, employment or training. You can
drop in and see me at Harrow Youth Stop on Tuesdays between 1.30pm-5.00pm. At
16 I did not have a clear career ambition and I found it difficult deciding on
my options after GCSE. I would have found it helpful to meet with a
Careers Adviser in year 11 to talk over my options and start planning for the
future.
Fun Fact: I once abseiled down a cliff face
despite being scared of heights!
